Is September really almost over?

Wow, time has flown. I sat down and connected my phone, grabbed all the pictures, and voila... a blog post! First, today. Liam and I took a field trip to Great Meadows Nat'l Wildlife Refuge this morning and did a fairly brief walk.

This is Liam on the path. He enjoyed picking up leaves, pine needles, moss, bark, and pretty much anything else he could get his hands on. He did some walking, but mostly he was carried...we weren't sure when the rain would start, so I didn't want to dawdle too much.

Earlier this month, we sadly lost the car. Liam and I are okay, but we were rear-ended and pushed into a truck. The car took the hit from the truck's bumper right at hood level, and it did some damage to the innards. Poor car. Thanks for keeping us safe. Liam's new ride is a Subaru Outback.

In other news, Liam has learned how to go downstairs, drink from a cup, and color. Most of the coloring is on paper, and the rest has all been easily washable, so far. He's also starting to talk - other than Mama & Dada, he can (when he deigns to) also say bye-bye, baby, bottle, bubbles, poopie, diaper, birdie, doggie, buggie, belly, car, big truck, up, butter(fly), bee, water, and no. There are more words, but I can't think of them right now. He can moo, baa, cockadoodledoo, quack, oink, ruff, and gobble, and he knows his eyes, nose, ears, tongue ( his favorite), belly (second favorite), hands, and toes.

Last month, we took a good car trip up to visit Grandma and Grandpa Wallen and attend the family reunion. Here are a couple pictures from the trip. More and more of my pictures are looking like the first one - there's no stopping the boy long enough to take a picture!
