Last Friday, Liam, Grandma P, and I went to Great-Grandma P's house for the day. Liam had a lot of fun with the Great-Gram in her magic baby rocking chair & he loved all the colors in her house, too. I unfortunately forgot to take pictures. :(
Andy's been off this week on vacation, so we've been free to travel around a bit. Most of it has been pretty routine, but we did go up to the camp earlier this week. Liam did fantastic - he slept most of the car ride up, and he was very intrigued with the camp buildings once we got there. We were a little worried about how he'd do on an overnight away from home, but turns out that he was just fine with it. We brought the Pack & Play and set it up for the bassinet, and he slept right in there. It was a tad chilly & rainy, but we just added an extra blanket on top of his footie pajamas and he was toasty warm. Andy and I did get a bit of a surprise... Liam woke up for his 1 AM feeding, and Andy was sitting with him on the futon while I warmed a bottle. I heard Andy make a funny noise, and I turned around to see a little field mouse clinging to the blinds on one of the windows. He looked like Spiderman, just hanging there vertically. He took off up the blind and out the eaves after we started making some noise and moving around. Liam could have cared less, but it definitely startled us!
Yesterday, we went apple picking at the farm where we got married. Andy wore the baby through the apple orchard. We got a full peck, and today we made apple crisp and applesauce. Yum!
Had a bit of a scare with Liam yesterday too. He had been eating a bit less than usual at his night feedings the night before, and then he wasn't wanting to eat a full feeding at all yesterday morning. He'd also had some liquidy poo. I was thinking teething, because he's also been after the pacifier and anything else he can get into his mouth with a vengeance, as well as having the "nap strikes" and moodiness that I'd mentioned in previous posts. I called the doctor to see if that matched or if we should be worried, and they said that it was early for teething and it might be an ear infection. We brought him into the pediatrician last night, and he was all clear for an ear infection. The doctor said that he might have a stomach bug or it could be early teething. Apparently her 3rd baby started stowing signs of teething very early. Liam's back on the feedbag today, though.
While I was pulling the apple picking photos off the camera, I found these pictures from the Labor Day cookout at my parents'. Thought I would put them up, even though its been a while... Auntie Kat and Uncle George are naturals!
