Ah, springtime... I think?

The robins said that it might be spring now... the snow said that it might not be spring quite so soon.  Either way, we've been enjoying the great outdoors!

Liam got in a squirt bottle fight with the girls next door.  They all got soaked - thank goodness it was one of those hot days!  This was taken just before the battle began.  I wish I had an after photo too, but I was too busy changing his clothes and trying to get his hair mostly dry before we had to leave to get Dada from the train.  Looks like trouble, doesn't he?

And then there was snow.  Upon returning from the train one night, Liam and Dada were playing in the garden (Liam is still wearing his engineer's cap!) and a small blizzard started.  We had over an inch come down in the space of a half hour, out of no where.

And then it was sunny and warm again.  Liam and I went kite flying with the three girls next door and their mom down at the sports fields.  Liam is the one way in the back in the blue coat.  He was taking a break while I ran to get his drink and snack from the car.

Oh, and did I mention that it snowed again?  This one was from just Friday.  We built a snowman in the front yard with the snow that came down overnight.  It is quite the healthy snowman - not just the carrot nose, but the broccoli eyes!

Of course, we can't spend all our time outside.  Here's Liam with his gator mask, featuring a fantastic Liam coloring job.  There's a little confusion going on with this mask.  In the beginning, he would hold it up and growl, and we would say "eek!" and act scared.  Now HE says "eek!" when he holds it up to his face.  Not a very scary gator!

Memaw and Pop-Pop Wallen came to visit us last weekend.  Liam had a blast.  We played lots and lots, baked cookies, went to the library, shoveled some snow (Pop-Pop taught Liam to say "Bombs away!"), and built a felt board.  Liam slept VERY soundly every night they were here!
