Little Doodle

We had to put Little Doodle down today. :( We brought him home after the hospital stay, and his urethra re-blocked... they freed it up again last night, and then it re-blocked this morning. We ended up giving the okay to put him down this afternoon. They sedated him before they euthanized him, since he'd been nasty to the tech last night. He took the shot, then just tucked his head in the crook of my arm and let me pet him while the meds kicked in. Poor guy. I know it was the best thing for him at that point, though... he hadn't been able to pee for hours, and he was definitely uncomfortable. It would only have gotten worse. Moose is definitely worried... he's uber friendly & walking on eggshells. Hopefully he'll settle in over the next few days while Andy and I are both around to give him some extra attention. That said, after a loooong night last night, we're just hanging home & going to bed early tonight. Happy New Year, everyone.
