More firsts

Liam's had a couple more "firsts" recently. About a week ago, I went to pick him up in the middle of the night and found him lying on his side... when we'd put him to sleep on his back. He hasn't repeated that yet, but he's been working the hips a lot when we set him down on his back on a blanket. A few days ago, he also got his head up to 90 degrees while lying on his stomach. He's a lot more vocal, and today, he had a "conversation" with his dog toy. It was the first one that he'd had with a non-human (and I understand that kids will have talks a lot with talking dolls as part of social development). I'd make the dog bark (it has a squeeze thing in its stomach that makes it yip four or five times) and he'd reply, then I'd make the dog bark again and so on. Andy and I were joking that if he learns dog instead of English, we're going to be in a whole mess of trouble.
