this first one's from tummy time today, showing off how he can hold his head up.I often think about just how blue his eyes are - I think this shot captures it well. I'm not sure what the shade is exactly, but its a very blue blue.
Taking the long climb up Mt Daddy. He loves this, as you will see in the next picture. That said, its also very serious business.

He's been in some weird sleep patterns lately. He'll have a day or two when he'll be on a nap strike during the day, and he'll hardly sleep at all. When he does, its 30 mins or less. Then the next day, he'll sleep a lot, with only a few waking periods. Today was a nap strike day, and I was trying to get him down for a nap about 3 PM since he was obviously overtired, rubbing his eyes and yawning a lot. He was laying on my lap, and he was just about out, just hanging on to wakefulness with slits of eyes. I thought that maybe putting him somewhere other than my lap would be better, that maybe it was the proximity to me and my potential activity that was keeping him up. I started to pick him up very gently, and all of a sudden, his eyes shot open and he started just cackling with laughter, loud enough that it startled the cats. It was like he was saying, "haha, fooled you, Mommy!". Ah, baby humor.
